Alex Albrecht has participated in the entertainment industry for six years. He founded and directed the popular, Los Angeles-based improvcomedy troupe, The Misfit Toys. The group was featured in Stuff Magazine and on MTV. After a chance meeting with a TechTV producer at a wedding, Alex landed the co-hosting role on TechTV’s The Screen Savers. It was at TechTV that he met Kevin Rose, and one of the most successful Internet television partnerships was born. In 2004, Kevin and Alex decided to create a weekly podcast called Diggnation. The show went on to become one of the most popular running web series of all time. Alex also starred in Ctrl+Alt+Chicken, a weekly cooking show co-hosted with Heather Stewart. Though production only lasted two seasons, CAC has become a cult classic and CAC shirts can be seen at all most every geek gathering. In addition to creating Diggnation and Ctrl+Alt+Chicken, Alex teamed up with his two buds Dan and Jeff to create the raddest show on the net, The Totally Rad Show. TRS is an eccentric mix of movie quotes and in depth and entertaining reviews and talk about some of the raddest, Movies, Video Games, Television Shows and Comics.
He also created Project Lore.com the place on the web for high quality World of Warcraft information and videos. Alex was honored at the first annual Streamy Awards winning the award for Best Web Host. Alex was also honored by the Producers Guild of America making The Digital 25: Visionaries, Innovators and Producers of 2009 list. If all that wasn’t enough Alex put on his directors hat for the first time in 2010 and direct two sci-fi short films both in post production due out early 2011.
